Just throw a small printer into an inexpensive digital camera and you're set.
Polaroid film sucked, bad. It was nifty technology in the 70's, but not any more.

Put the R&D into a small rugged printer.
I already use a stand alone 4X6 photo printer for "instant" pictures, but it would still be very cool to have a camera that spit out pictures directly.
