The pomegranates this year have been outrageously beautiful and delicious! |
|
I've never seen such a beautiful crop.
I am thinking that the POM people might be the ones to thank for this. Many of the ones I bought had the POM sticker. They have been large and ripe and sweet and unblemished. My fingers are stained right this moment.

3. We get local ones here in New Mexico... |
|
And they make yummy salads. But I have yet to find anything else to do with them. Any recipe suggestions, anyone?

5. Yeah, I have had some GORGEOUS ones this month. Pom brand. |
|
I need to eat more of them while they are in season, I love them so much in spite of the minor hassle to eat them - they are REALLY good for you.
We can buy the pomegranate seeds in a plastic box in the produce section, too. Probably too pricey for me, but if you have a recipe that calls for them and don't want to pick them free from a whole one it's kinda nice.
