Any book suggestions for Preserving and Canning? |
|
I'd like to know more about prepping food for a long shelf life, in case I have to rely only upon garden fruits and vegetables or buying large batches.

Shakespeare posted a link to a book that's good. Here's the link to the thread. Scroll down a bit to find that posting. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=236&topic_id=6672

2. Hey, Big Big Thanks, Eleny! I think I'll get that one. Only $5! |

4. Yup. It's the best basic canning/freezing guide you can get. |

It's my bible during the harvest season! I'm always a little amazed that Ball is still selling it for just $5--what a bargain.
There are several more exotic books out there that are also good, but you just can't beat the Ball guide for the price and for the basic information.
