McAfee is driving me crazy......Help

I posted under lounge but got no help. I have 2 months left on my contract with McAfee for virus protection and firewall. I wrote this but they never answered. Is there really that much difference b/t win '98 4.4 and 5.5? I screw around with my settings. Did I do something that change it so it will no d/l the updates on both virus protection and firewall?

Now I can leave in 2 months but I really don't want to give up the 2 months and don't have the money now.http://www.winantivirus.com wrote me back and said that their software is compatible with win'98 4.4.....BUT what do I do for the next 2 months?

1. I do not see a problem

There are several Firewalls and Anti-Virus programs that are Free and work very well with win98. Dump McAfee and use a free one. You can look in my sig line or Google Firewalls and Anti-Virus software.

2. Uninstall McAfee

then reinstall and see if that works. I really like McAfee firewall and would try and get it working again. Maybe try a registry cleaner before reinstalling.
