I feel the vibrations in tumbled stones - my hand tingles for about 20 minutes when I hold one. I've guessed that I eventually calibrate my own vibrations to the vibrations of the stone, which is why I stop feeling it. I suspect that feeling vibrations is inherited since my granddaughter also feels them. I can understand her response since she has six earth planets (five, including the Sun, in Capricorn, Moon in Taurus). I don't understand my affinity since I have just one earth planet and it's the least earthy of them all - Neptune. I assume I'm compensating. I've also discovered that the best spot for me to meditate is sitting on a boulder - fortunately we retired to a spot that is full of boulders, so many that they sometimes make our dirt road all but impassable. (Do you drive through the gully or over the boulder?) I'd appreciate any thoughts about this - I've never studied crystals and perhaps I should.
So great to have found this site.

Your sensing of vibrations in stones is a true gift. But the truth is, everything has a different frequency, and therefore a unique vibration. I teach people to do this in my metaphysical courses. I start them out with sensing frequency in things in nature--rocks, trees, flowers, clouds. Evergreen trees have some of the highest vibrations. Then we move on to the frequency levels of thoughts, concepts and ideas. From there they can learn to integrate with these vibrations in order to deal with issues in their life.
You might try sensing the vibration of different objects other than stones. I'll bet that you can do this easily since it comes so naturally to you. What I'm finding is that as the light energy enters our planet more intensely, more and more people have this ability.

2. A gift I need to work with |
|
Thanks so much. I will indeed work with other objects of nature. We are within sight of the Gila National Forest and are surrounded by evergreens - junipers, pinon and a few cedars. Think the place to start is clouds - I'm air and water (four planets in each) so have a natural affinity. I grew up with sky and knew when we moved out here that I needed to see long distances. I've been surprised, however, by how much I'm drawn to the clouds. We're at almost 7,000 feet and sometimes I think I can almost reach up and touch them.
Thanks again.

3. Bluestar you are so right on |

Hands on healing works the same way. If you are working on someone you can get different vibrations from different parts of the body. I have always found it fascinating.
Trees are incredible. I have always felt their groundedness as a sort of "thud" in my chest. After literally hugging them just to feel their energy I have found that even the same type of trees have a different energy if you stick around long enough to "hear" (what word is appropriate here?)what they have to say.
I think everyone has the ability to do this if they would just get quiet enough. I love this part of life, the hidden secrets that are right under our noses.

4. Feels like a sort of mild electric current to me. |
|
I love crystals and I collect them. Something I really enjoy is picking up a stone and feeling it sort of "hum" in my hand. It isn't a jolt or anything--just a sort of low level thrum that sort of pushes my fingers outward.
I love to look for stones and crystals, sometimes I even go to rock shops (NOT New Age stores I might add!) and buy specimens. I can't stomach paying a bunch of money for any rock, but it is fun to feel the vibe from the different kinds of stones.
One thing that I do is to leave my stones out on the front doorstep or out in a flower bed for a full moon cycle whenever I get a new one. Stones are born of the earth. They live under the stars and moon and I like to leave them there. One warning, however, any colored stone needs to be under the earth to maintain color. Sunlight will bleach stones.
One day, when my daughter was about two or three, she was puttering around outside and she picked up one of my stones. She got a really strange look on her face and dropped it. Then she picked it back up and laughed. Since then she has been an avid fan of rocks and loves to look for them and pick them up.
Enjoy your gift--not everyone shares it. You are feeling the energy of the earth and all that surrounds it when you feel that vibration.

5. I love finding worry stones |

You know the ones, they fit right between your thumb and palm. My newest one was found on the beach in Ventura, it is as soft as silk and has a wonderful vibration.
