Mama MorningGlow wants to brag for a moment if you'll indulge me |
|
Has anyone used the computer "game" Journey to Wild Divine? It's the one with the sensors you put on your fingertips and use your breathing and heartrate to move things in the game like juggling balls and such. I've had it for a while but just loaded it on my computer so I can start having fun with meditative states.
Anyway, MG Jr. saw the fingertip sensor attachment on my computer and asked what it was for, so I let him play the introductory part of the game. Damned if my little elfling didn't rock the Wild Divine challenges!! Spun the wheel, juggled the balls, levitated the larger ball....Put me to shame, I'll tell ya. :P
Brag over. :D

1. A crystal child would probably be a natural at things like this. |
|
Way to go, MG Jr. I'd brag too, if I were you! :)

2. And he definitely is a crystal |

My little extra-DNA-activated cutie patootie. He was so funny--got those juggling balls whipping around so high they went past the top of the screen--even amazed Mr. MG (usually a cynic), but all he had to say for himself was, "Mama, how long do I have to do this?" Oh it's SOOOOO boring!

You're so lucky to be there while he discovers what he can do! :)

4. It's a big responsibility, however |
|
It's up to me to teach him about the good stuff. And offset the muggle crap he hears from grandma. No such thing as ghosts. HUH! No such thing as fairies and dragons. TCH!

Our kids are generally smarter and more gifted than us. They'd better be given the mess we are potentially bequeathing them.
You're doing great with him.
A fun mom is the BEST I figure.

I just love to read the messages that you folks write. Reading them makes me feel as if there truly are fairies and wizards in the world, and they have spectacular, talented children, too. Thank you all. You give me hope for something better.

10. I'm having a heck of a time, myself |
|
It is NOT easy, is it? I had this ego thing working where I thought I was much more in control of my energy, but this game is proving me wrong. And I suspect "faking out" the rocks to get them to stack up isn't quite correct (if I pretended to ignore the rocks and do something else, like read the game manual, the rocks moved much more easily than if I were watching them and "willing" them to stack)!
MG Jr. is a natural. But of course...!

11. Hi--are you still using the game? |

I think one of my daughters might find this useful. I'd love to hear some experiences.

I've kind of left it for a while, to be honest. I want to practice regularly, but I've been swamped with freelance work that takes up all my time. That's good for the wallet, bad for the spiritual development--and the size of the butt, as I'm also not using my yoga DVD.
Anyway, when I was using it, it was very enlightening--as I said upthread, I thought I was in better control of my energy and breathing, but I found out I was wrong. It really helps you focus on your breath, which is essential if you don't have someone to sit with you and check you as you meditate.
I also like how active it is--it's not just sitting still and doing things on an abstract level; with the different activities in the game, you're actually seeing how much of an effect you have on "concrete" items, even if they're virtual.

Have a short twenty minute one that is great, and I STILL haven't used it in two weeks!!
Thanks for the input.
I actually think she needs some sort of brainwave entrainment. She is living thousands of miles away, so this isn't the easiest thing.

If that's the case, there's that series of brain-training games ... what the heck is the name... Okay, I can't remember. I guess I need an IQ booster myself!

Finally thought of it. No, she doesn't need that. Haha. She gets caught in circular reasoning, and has some misperceptions about things--it probably has to do with which parts of her brain light up with various stimuli--
I think it might be a brain wave thing. She is a lot better with this, but still less than 100%
IQ is through the roof, though. I hear Brain Gym is great, but I'm not sure she would benefit from that.

although it's been a long time since I've played it. I generally have a lot more energy now then I did back then. It would be interesting to see if I now have an easier time raising my energy. One of the greatest benefits I got from playing it is that I can instantly and effortlessly enter a light trance state.
