What ring tone do you have?
I just got a new cell phone, after being without one for about two years. I had the old one four years and just used it for calls and messages, never made it do tricks.

That's changed! I don't get many trinkets, and I'm digging it.

So, I downloaded a couple of ring tones and am using this one >

My Spirit Flies to You

See the light in me
searching for many years ...
My spirit flies to you
Now I guess it's so ...

I Dance with the wind
I´m flowing to your dream ...
You can lose your fear
You can change your life.

What do you all have?

1. No one else has my ring tone
My DH found it for me and put it on my phone when I asked him.

The ring tone? Chicken pot, chicken pot, chicken pot pie.

In remembrance of the sit-com "Just Shoot Me".

2. Right now, I just have what sounds like a regular telephone.
For some reason, I have a difficult time telling that my phone is ringing unless it's really loud, which I hate. I seem to do better with a sound that sounds like a regular phone.

Boring, yes, but it's more important that I actually realize that I have a call. :)

Congrats on your new toy, vsm!

10. That concerns me too.
I've never had a ring tone on a cell phone. I have Beethoven 9th on my home phone, which does get my attention. But I can imagine my phone ringing and just thinking, "where's that lovely music coming from ... ?? "

3. whatever came with the phone
????

I love fooling around with my computer and my digital camera, but I rarely use my cell. In fact, I don't even know my own cell phone number. I only have one daughter that calls me on the cell phone. Well, I get a lot of calls for the person who used to have the number, and even some messages. Annoying. I try to remember to take it when I am out and about, though. I use it for long distance sometimes.

Most people muscle test negative to having a cell phone at their ears, so I don't think a whole lot of cell phone use is a good idea. I don't have a weak mrt any more, but I don't know how much that helps negate the effects.

But I think it is cool that you have put a nice ring tone on there. I am challenged to even find the volume button.

4. I'm like you, itsjustme.
I carry it with me usually (at least when I have a coat since it's in the pocket), but I often forget to even turn it on. I have it for safety purposes more than anything. My husband and I shared a cell phone until this winter when I had an issue with ice and decided that we both really should have one for that purpose. There also aren't as many pay phones around now that everyone has cell phones.

I hate spending the money on these phones, for some reason. I'm also concerned about the possible health issues, so I still use my regular phone when I'm at home, even when the minutes are free on my cell phone.

11. weellll
My phone has a camera! wheeeeheheeeee

I am convinced their is a link with cell phones and health issues. Extended use would be a definite concern.

About NUMBERS .. I am hyper alert to numbers everywhere. I can remember numbers with little effort.
My *usuals* relate to 4 and 8, with a lot of FIVES. The energies were familiar. I was taken aback by the new phone number. It doesn't have any of the numbers that ANY of my old phone nos or addresses have had. A SEVEN of all things, Three 3s, and two 1s. The total is Six. That does give me a hint, but I not sure what it all means yet, other than, there is change s.o.m.e.w.h.e.r.e.

13. ha!
here is what I know about my telephone number--

One of my three daughters knows it and uses it
I know I can find it out by dialing my home phone number with it and using caller ID
It is easy to remember (every time I hear it, I think, "oh, that is an easy number to remember") LOL

5. It came with the phone - "Joy of Love"
It's like a lullaby every time the phone rings. :loveya:

I'd love to download a ringtone, but I haven't the foggiest idea.

12. I did it from the
Sprint website. They download it to your phone. It's too easy because there's no *transaction*. Any charges are billed to your phone. I got one free, but screwed up the click and ended up paying for one, which is fine. There are other free ones online too, but I don't know a thing about them. Who is your provider?

7. The same one Allison Dubois has on "Medium".
It came with the phone and I haven't really thought about figuring out how to change it.

8. It's a bit surprising to find so many others
that never mess with their phone. I've had computer experience, and manuals and learning curve are no mystery to me. However, the manual that came with my last phone was the largest I had ever seen for a *small appliance*. When my son was little, I was the only one in the house that could program the video recorder, microwave, etc. It used to be INTUITIVE. No more. That is until you use the stuff for awhile. But I thought if I learned that old manual, someone should at least give me 3 hours college credit!

I love that show (and her ring tone). Do you know what it is?

22. I looked it up ...
It's the Nokia Alert. Seems like a lot of people had the same question. It was on wiki and yahoo answers. There's a long article on wikipedia, but I don't think it's the same tone.

Anyway, this is it >

14. I use the classic Ma Bell "brrrrrrring"
because I didn't like any of the others that came with my phone. It gives me a little bit of perverse pleasure to hear that old-fashioned sound coming out of a cell phone.

15. I have different ringtones for different groups of people
For family - I have a snippet of the song "Scotland the Brave" on bagpipes

For friends - I have "Take Me Out To the Ballgame"

For business/my daughter's school - I have a snippet of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1

For everyone else - I have "Liberty Bell March" or more commonly known as the Monty Python themesong

16. I gave kidlette the good cell that supports cool ringtones.
She immediately begged us to load a Hannah Montana ring tone "You get the beeeeest of both worlds..." She is WAY cool now. She got that cell phone because that particular carrier has the best coverage in the places where my daughter spends most of her time.

Back when I had that phone I used a couple of different ring tones. One was the Imperial March from Star Wars (the Darth Vader song.) That one always made me laugh because it just sounds SO ominous! That cell phone would ring and anybody that happened to be around would be looking around with a HUGE expression of "What the heck???"

The other ring tone I used was a song from Knoc-Turn'al called Muzik. I loved that song the first time I heard it in the Transporter, and I still do. Used to freak out people who were not expecting a middle aged white woman to have a hip hop / rap sort of ring tone.

I am bummed because my current cell phone has about 10 months left on the contract and I REALLY want to upgrade my phone to one that will allow me to use fun ringtones. My freebie phone won't support MP3 ringtones and thus I am using the basic electronic phone ring (which just went off!)

This is one of those songs I have to play over and over. I wonder what the chants are.
