Looks like Hurricane Dennis (the storm) is headed towards Ohio! |
|
I just thought this was kinda interesting.....hurricanes do not usually hit the midwest!!
Hurricane Dennis looks to be very powerful...hope it isn't too destructive....I guess it'll hit FL over the weekend and inland early next week!!
Maybe people will now pay attention when they hear the name Dennis :)

1. I was just thinking something like this. |
|
Seeing "Dennis" over and over again in headlines; we can focus on destructive energy. Why not fill the headlines full of constructive energy? What a way to light up the nation!

2. Yeah...I am sorry this was such a destructive storm with our man's name |
|
If I hear Dennis the Menace again I'll ..eeeeeeeh ...scream.
I saw a post in a thread on GD that said he fett there would soon be a new leader with a new vision cominmg to the fore...I immedialtey thought of Dennis Kucinich!!
I wish there was more action here, although I am as guilty as anyone for not posting here...but then I have been trying to get some things accomplished off DU.
MAybe we need to kick up some of the threads Maired & genius had about grassroots organization for Dennis.
Just seems like one headline/event after another that we never get our feet under us to get organized ....that we are on a rollercoaster designed to keep us off balance so we (dems/libs/progressives) can't get it together...hmmm....
Just some rambling thoughts here....anyone else??

3. I'm pretty busy in local progressive caucuses |
|
Most of the Kucinich campaign people in my state are as well, or they've gone back to their peace groups or the Greens. I think we've concluded that we aren't about to make the mistake of the Rainbow Coalition and link progressive organization destiny to what one individual decides to do in presidential election years.
I'd love it if he made another try, but I have plenty to be going on with if he doesn't.

4. 2005 has been the most intense year of my life, |
|
and I've weathered some pretty heavy storms before. 2005 seems to be tossing everyone I know around, though, not just me. Where would the best focus be? Here or PDA? Whatever time I have to give, I want it to be most effective. The further we get into the 2nd Bush admin, the more clearly Dennis stands out as the diamond amongst the coal, imo.
