Nice bit in the Baltimore Sun about Kerry's Iraq vote

The last word, finally in a mainstream newspaper!

Of course, it's asking too much that a sock be stuffed into the mouth of those who keep repeating "he voted for it before he voted against it" like a pull-string doll... but I'm so glad that Thomas Schaller is spelling it out here (emphasis mine):

Mr. Bush tormented Sen. John Kerry in 2004 for "voting for before voting against" funding the war. But Mr. Kerry voted for a version of the $87 billion appropriation bill that also raised revenues to pay for it. Instead, we pile the war's costs atop our mountainous national debt, leaving future generations to pay for it later - plus interest.

Important distinction. One that I picked up on two weeks before the election.

WHY wasn't the rest of America listening to Randi Rhodes on October 21st or 22nd, 2004?
