Later, John Kerry also had a private talk with Obama for several minutes. As the previous Democratic nominee, there's obviously a wealth of experience he could bestow. Kerry talked with strong gestures and Obama listened with a fixed stare. As Obama rose from his chair, Kerry continued to talk. After a minute or so, when it was clear the talk was winding down, Kerry brought his right hand to his forehead, as though he were saluting.

Any verification from body language? Did they ever like her, or just figured she would be the next POTUS so they better be nice?

I turned on CSPAN2 yesterday for a few minutes, and happened to see Clinton wandering in (hard to miss that super-bright jacket), not much of a crowd around her, VERY brief encounter with Dodd, probably no time for more than a "how do you do", and then she voted. I wandered off, and when I came back to the room, Obama was there, quite a few crowded around him (did not see JK, Obama seemed to be the tallest in the small crowd :-)), and then he went and sat with Carl Levin (I wonder what they had to talk about....).

I hope that part of what Kerry was telling him with those strong gestures was "don't even THINK of chosing her" :evilgrin:

5. I thought the same thing as you when I read it. it is good to know others are watching what is

unfolding in Washington.
I just hope Senator Obama respects and understands how important Senator Kerry's support is.
I still have some issues with Obama, but given the choice between him and the Clinton's, it has to be Obama.
I just wish this could have been Kerry's year. ( I know, I should just be forward thinking, but an injustice was done in 2004 and the consequences of that injustice will be with us all for a long time. Not to mention what the country has missed out on by not having President Kerry leading us. Mass. is extremely lucky to have two great Senators.)
