SFRC: AKA we hate Kofi Annan, but we'll be damned if you'll catch us saying so in so many words.
Anyone see Kerry yet?
So far, :boring:

And he may not show.
10:30 a.m. HEATING COSTS _ Briefing on winter heating costs. With Sens. John Kerry (D-Mass.), Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), and others. Location: Senate Radio-TV Gallery.
Maybe he'll show up after. Bolton should be testilying until at least 12:15 when everyone breaks to go to Tuesday Caucus lunches.
Sigh!
I kow Boxer will be there later. And Volker is a big-time snore.

He could be saying, "And yesterday I went on a murderous spree in which I macheted evryone who lives within a five block radius of my house." and I'd still be dozing off. I'm suspicious that there's a course taught somewhere in government school that trains you to talk with no inflection whatsoever so no one can grasp the import of what you're saying. Saves on lying. :eyes:

3. There's one Rethug Sen who has this voice that just puts me out |
|
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 09:42 AM by TayTay
I can't remember his name because I can't stay awake long enough to read it on C-Span when he is on. He has this un-modulated low tone voice that is perfect for conducting wakes and funerals. I will have to go through the list of Rethugs and see just who this guy is.
On the plus side, no Allen yet! (My Maalox supply is safe for now.)
Coleman however, is a suck-up, know-it-all. (I discovered Oil-for-Food and I deserve all the credit.) I almost heaved when I heard him start talking about corruption and how nobody was minding the store. Hello? Sen. Immune-to-Irony? Hello!

is such a complete and total WEASEL. God, I hope Franken runs against him in 2008. His presence debases the entire senate.
He's dying to find some link between Saddam and terrorist funding. ("Please help me justify this war, please!!!!")

And I can't remember which one, on account of he keeps putting me to sleep. He sounds like the voice in this old Bugs Bunny cartoon that was itself an imitation of Boris Karloff. (Obscure reference award for the day goes to TayTay, I know.)
Craign Thomas from Wyoming. I defy anyone to stay awake when he is speaking. He's deadly dull.

|
They are having trouble loading the traquilizer guns. I'm sure they'll bring him and his keepers in soon.
I am actually looking forward to having Sen. Boxer question him as well. She can be quite relentless.
OMG! Coleman is still talking about the UN having no oversight and no accountability. This man is dead from the neck up.

Ten words and I can already feel my blood pressure rising.
"A rev-o-LU-tion of reform is needed at the UN."
Not that I hold grudges or anything (:eyes:), but it's an insult that the senators even have to sit and listen to this jerk.

He was too deferential to this acting, appointed 'Ambassador,' who was, after all, never confirmed by the Senate.
Excellent. Sarbanes is going after Bolton on his nuttiness about the poverty goals that Bolton refuses to back up. Thank gawd for 'real' Dems.

The most important issue for me right now is the CIA Leak case--who did what and to whom--I'm hoping he's doing something on this. I know Fitz is in charge, but a good investigative Senator needs to be prepared for the next steps.

but Bolton, let's face it, is a fait accompli at this point. and all JK can do is make him look stupid. Babs did a pretty good job of that all by herself.
I'm sure he did have something more urgent to take care of. I just enjoy watching his skillful filleting of liars and blowhards.

Perhaps my esteemed Junior Senator just figured, there isn't enough Maalox in the world for Bolton today and Condiliar tomorrow. Babs can have that escapee from clown college and I'll take Condi tomorrow. (Lie: Babs would never give up questioning Condi. It's too good. Sigh!)
He did have real work to do on that home heating bill. (Damn. I hate it when real work gets in the way of fun questioning. I am so immature.)
