2. I saw - it was excellent. |

This is the most stupid thing I read in a long time. They really that their candidate was so bad that it would make the difference?

3. we need more posters like that |

They make for good comic relief. If he/she had any hope of being taken seriously, it is gone after that nugget of wisdom.

4. That is comic - Kerry purposely got taller as a dirty trick |
|
I show my age when I say that the comment reminds me of Hard Days Night - where "Paul's grandfather" gets 2 "Beatles managers" at each other's throat by saying that one of them thought he was better than the other because he was taller.

The shorter guy was blaming the other guy for being taller--well, you had to see it to understand the full humor of it. Besides that, it's British humor! ;)

6. Are people seriously whining about this? |
|
Because if so, then you just made my day a little bit better, not that it wasn't already good but still if they're whining about this, then I love the smell of hypocrisy in the evening.

Now that's getting desperate. Really desperate.
There is, however this grain of truth to it: taller children tend to have more expected of them, and so tend to become more responsible and are more often acheivers because of it. But that in no way is the whole story. Anyway, who knows which was taller as a child...

11. Yeah Bradley is the same height of Kerry I believe |
|
He's an NBA hall of famer. I made that comment about thick hair because I got it and you don't have to worry about baldness too.

12. Oh, my Lord, I actually heard people claim that Kerry was "obviously" |
|
refusing to cut his hair during the campaign, and was probably actively "fluffing it up" in an attempt to maintain just that much more height advantage over the other candidates. Jesus. How can people be so dang STUPID?

13. That is just TOO funny! Can't you just see Sen. Kerry FLUFFING his |

hair?
We've got some very informed voters here...they are so right ON the issues. Next they'll be saying he wears special shoes with hydraulic lifts in them.

14. I think you figured it out, |
|
Without his hair and those shoes, he'd be about 5 foot 9 just like Dean. Also, he cheated because his face doesn't seem to get red when he's angry, like Dean's. (From the reponse to Allard, we would know).
But I guess the Deaniacs can demand in the future that all photos of candidates by photoshopped (like the Kerry/Bush) debates to make the candidates look the same height - or even making the shorter one taller as afirmative action.

15. All future candidates have to be an even 6'0" |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-07-06 09:45 AM by TayTay
Cuz we can't have the height-challenged or the height-enhanced to be seen as being disadvantaged. The DNC will put out a memo that says that special surgery is available at a nominal price at the 'Bones-N-Moans' Medical Center in the basement of the secret DNC headquarters in Bethesda. This should end all speculation about height discrepencies and 'tallness envy.'
All haircuts have to be cleared with the DNC special sub-committee on Haircuts and the Hirsute. Anyone found with an inappropriate haircut will be subject to a buzz cut.
This ought to allow all Democrats to beat the crap out of each other without stopping for moronically stupid side-discussions on who 'God was good to and who God wasn't good to' in terms of handing out attributes.
That is all, check for the memo.

17. So they will be on, ah....equal footing? |
|
:7
Affirmative action, LOL! I'd like to see them try to equalize the size between Kerry and Kuchinch. Kerry on his knees, perhaps?
The funny thing is: there is no advantage to being tall in politics. Look at Napolean. He was short in stature, but he looms large in history. It's all what you make of yourself, not how tall you are. How silly to say that Kerry won because of a height advantage.
