Blue Ridge Parkway views
A few snapshots from a Saturday afternoon drive. Hadn't really planned on heading up there and I wasn't dressed for the weather so I just pulled over at a couple overlooks and snapped a few shots. It was really windy and a gust almost knocked me down. Might go again tomorrow and take some photos of the ugly subdivisions creeping up next to the Parkway.

1. One of my favorite drives!
As your photos show, there are some breathtaking views. Do you live near it? Have you seen the wildflowers in the spring?

2. i especially love the 4th one down
where you are at the level of the bottom of the clouds (or so it seems). in mid-june 1987, i drove the entire pkwy from top to bottom on a very leisurely vacation. it was gorgeous. i've driven segments of it since then. we lived in eastern tn in 1994, spent a lot of time in asheville and cherokee (selling them indian jewelry and smudge sticks!).

3. Thanks
And yeah I live real close by, about 5-10 minutes to the closest entrance. I try to get up there at least once a month. Some days are good for the sweeping vista type shots and others are better for the close-ups.
