3. Cool shot
And as always I am interested in what settings you are shooting with. :)
I tried shooting fireworks at one point - and I couldn't quite find a setting that produced decent results.

So any pointers would be appreciated.

4. of course
I have found 6-8 seconds to be the best, not for exposure, but to catch the launch and burst. so at 100-300 iso I vary the f stop on the test shot to get the buildings and/or foreground the way I want it, then just rip off as many exposures as I can while the shots go off.
I average, I guess 200 or so and get maybe 2 I want to show.

It is a crapshoot.

Back in flim days, did this with 4 bodies and had about the same results.

I am sure there are other ways of doing it, that is just what I have evolved to.

6. Sounds like a plan
Should be some occasions to test it as all the kids start burning of their New years fireworks prematurely over the next week. :)

Thanks.
