It's a real challenge to do these conversions well. I have about half a dozen favorite workflow methods for conversions now, used depending on the nature of the input photo, and not one of them seems satisfactory. This is a case where the conversion was done so sensitively it's hard to believe there was ever a color version, or needed to be.

Both have incredible charm, the b/w looks like a fake front out of a movie (Blazing Saddles set comes to mind). Both make an impact, but I would frame and hang up and thoroughly love the one with the color.
