Does ANYONE know how to remove a tape from an old Sony camcorder??? |
It's urgent that I get this tape out. It was for a school project. The camera broke while downloading the video onto my computer and now none of the power functions work, including the tape eject. I could keep working with another camera, but I need the tape. How do I get it out?

2. The pin thing will open the cassete mechanism.. however |
if the tape is threaded it will probably get badly wrinkled or even broken when you try to remove it from the camera. You can probably get it out but do it very carefully to minimize any damage.

3. And even so, tapes can be spliced, so even if it does get broken, you |
won't have lost your hard work. Though I'd recommend immediately duplicating the spliced tape to a fresh one.
