....or why I think I suck at landscape shots.

Waiting for my ride. I was all alone yesterday. :cry: No other Colorado Snappys with me. Sitting on a rock on the side of the road. All of sudden several cars pull up... tons of people jump out and start snapping their cameras. Some were “this is where we were” tourist kinda’ things...



But most people were pointing toward something I didn’t see. I looked at what everyone was aiming their cameras at but didn’t see anything interesting. This guy even ran back to his car to get his long penis lens.



I saw this, but no one was pointing their camera toward it. (sorry bout’ the noise. I shoot RAW + sjpeg and I was too lazy to load the large RAW file in)…



Can someone point me to the DU Knitting Group? :-( Either I'm very "different" or I just can't "see" what other people "see".

1. They might have seen some wildlife you couldn't see

from your angle. I'm actually hopeless at seeing wildlife. Thankfully usedtobesick has an eagle eye and can spot wildlife a million miles off, otherwise, I'd never get any wildlife shots.

The lst shot is gorgeous, though. I think your landscapes are improving! And I don't think you need to flee to the DU knitting group!

You liked the 1st Shot? So did I. I liked how the brown/red bushes seemed to flow from the woman directly to the green tree thing. How her knee seemed to kick the brown/red stuff.

Funny story. I was walking a dry creek bed yesterday and looked over... saw a woodpecker not 6 feet from me. But, by the time my cat-like :D reflexes kicked in and I could get the camera pointed in the right direction..... woodpecker gone. :(

If we ever have a nature colorado snappy outing.... usetobesick has to walk point.

BTW, I always worry about tourists like that. Do you think she knows rattlesnakes live in those grasses?

long penis lens?? I tried to get some portraits of my kids and my brother's kids yesterday but since they haven't seen each other since last Christmas they were having none of it. So I switched cameras, got out my zoom lens and hung out in the yard. When I was coming in, I noticed my dad up on the back porch with his camera and a telephoto lens. We had to snap each other of course. Dueling long penis lenses! Oh, that's so not a good image lol.
