I'm late, but here.

The bad year keeps going on. Some of you don't know, but my daughter was diagnosed with MS a few weeks ago. Now she's in the hospital with gall stones and is having her gall bladder removed tomorrow. This is unrelated to the MS, but explains the stomach problems she's been having for the last year or so. She started getting jaundiced a few days ago and the doctor thought it might be a side effect from her new medication, but it turns out the timing was just coincidental. They did an ultrasound this morning and then called her back to the hospital. They would have done it today, but she had breakfast when she left the hospital after the ultrasound. She just wants to get it over with and will be happy when her stomach pain is gone.

The good news is that we thought the stomach problems were related to the MS since they couldn't find anything previously when she went to the gastroenterologist. So, we thought she'd have to live with it. This is almost a relief. At least it's something they can take care of. Who needs a gall bladder anyway?

They're doing it with a laparoscopy, so it shouldn't be too bad. Of course, if they find infection or inflammation when they go in, then they'll have to do it the old-fashioned way and the recovery will be much longer and harder.

I appreciate the offer. I'll let you know if there's anything.
