Nobody shoot me, but I'm actually enjoying the Colbert Report more than the Daily Show. When it comes to "funny" they both hit a pretty high mark on the scale, but Colbert's show so far seems to be hitting that level more often and staying there longer. Stewart's opening monologue is usually devastating, but the stuff after that is variable; some nights pee-your-pants funny, other nights just a mild chuckle.

The Daily Show's first half is almost always strong, especially when Jon Stewart is left to snark for himself (although Ed Helms always cracks me up).
As for Colbert...his opening segment (I think it's word of the day) is a stitch, and his interviews with celebs have been biting. (I loved his one with the Mad Money guy!) Sometimes, though, it's just too much; but this show is still so new, that once he settles into a groove, I think it'll be more consistent.
(Either that, or I just want a writing job on one of them...take your pick! I could do a mean parody of a Michael Musto-style celeb commentator, since that's what I want to do in real life, anyway.)
