Actually, I'm a card-carrying member of the AANR (although I don't usually have anywhere to carry my card!), but I'm in pretty good shape, and don't look remotely like any of those guys! I think there is a very real distinction between the concept of "body acceptance," and using nudity for shock value. I don't really agree with what those "protesters" did. It drew attention to themselves, not their message of "no war," and it helped confirm the right's view of anti-war protesters and lunatic hippies.

It reminds me of a statement often heard in Florida. "I never go to nudist camps. The people who are naked there...you don't really want to see."

And although I'm not a prude, this is a public forum, and seeing the effects of gravity on human tissue is something young people shouldn't be exposed to.

Final thought; aren't there any young people (especially women) interested in joining the anti-Bush movement? If not, why not?
