This is my take on the Palfrey situation. I want to say that I do indeed think it's "possible" that this was a legitimate suicide.

That said, there has been a long string of really un-normal suicides over the past 10 or so years that cannot simply be ignored, with a big fat uptick in the post-9/11 universe. This is why so many people are lifting an eyebrow over this one.

Is this the USA or the USSR? What the hell is going on here?

Listen carefully to what Palfrey says in the audio, it seems very clear to me that she was targeted and persecuted outside of the regular channels of law, this includes the use of post-9/11 wire-transfer surveillance as part of her highlighting.

This past Saturday I spoke to an assistant DA for the District of Columbia and I asked him why they didn't hold Deborah Palfrey in light of her public statements about never going to jail. He told me that the prosecutor wanted to hold her in order to get a phyciatric evaluation done but the judge who from the start wanted nothing to do with this case denied the motion and let Palfrey free on bond while awaiting sentencing. This is common in white collar cases where the convicted in not a threat to the general public. I have no reason to not believe my source. She told anybody who would listen that she was going to kill herself and she did just that.

5. This is quite a case

She was making some big threats. I figured that as trouble since she no doubt made them in private. So there was desperation to a degree. Then they wouldn't let her change lawyers. This was B.S. from the start. How about the Johns? They're criminals too. Any of them arrested.

Dan Moldea who has been quite a muckraker said she'd talked of suicide if she went back in.

But it's so fishy, truly.

13. ABC News Shielding Cheney after DC Madam Hanging?

Among her known clients were current Louisiana Senator Vitter, and former AIDS Czar Randall Tobias but Dick Cheney's number, reported earlier was summarily un-reported after a turnaround by ABC News.

ABC anchor Sam Donaldson has also been rumored, along with a law partner of Rudy Giuliani, associates of Jack Abramoff's and many more Pentagon, DC and corporate insiders on a list of 10,000 calls.

According to early accounts, ABC News correspondent Brian Ross had the early scoop because Palfrey turned over years-long call lists for his staff to verify. After Cheney turned up on the list, things got "weird" - the story, already on the ABC website was poised to run on 20/20 but suddenly everything went away.

Any mention of Cheney was scrubbed from the ABC website and the 20/20 piece never ran. Vitter and Tobias had already admitted whoring, so the mainstream press carried the DC Madam bust but shied away from mentioning Cheney. The trial was strangely quiet - little coverage and a scheduled Vitter was never subpoaened.
