All those black people in Iowa, Idaho, Wisconsin, Utah, Oregon, North Carolina. Ya know all 10% combined voted for him and put him over the top. They blame blacks for voting for Obama just because he's black. But they will happily tell you they are voting for Hillary because she's a woman and they find nothing wrong with that.

76. Hillary encouraged this crap
Urging her "supporters" to make the journey and protest.

How can anyone blame this poor, older, white woman when someone she admires plays to both her racial and gender identity fears?

Polling has shown that low-educated, low-income, over-50 women are the only demographic sub group left in which Hillary has more than 50% of Democratic voters.

I am also an over-50 woman, and though I have three degrees, I am not exactly rolling in the dough In fact, I could never have afforded to make a trip like that to harass the members of the committee while they tried to work out a compromise.

84. No, I for sure don't want to demean you or others like you.
I don't condemn any Clinton supporter who chose her for past ideological reasons. The 14 pages of posted positions at hillaryclinton.com are well reasoned, and not that much different from the similar 21 pages on barackobama.com.

My objection to yesterday's childish performances is that they were orchestrated and encouraged by none other than Hillary herself. The Ickles shameful rant was as Hillary's spokesperson, and if we are to believe him, with her full permission and support.

If you have three degrees, you obviously are not a low-information voter. But low-information voters actually buy the garbage which has been slung, and put on performances like the one above.

Hillary and that specific group of supporters (I have no clue how many of them there are, but I hear they got 300 DC protesters out of the 10,000 they were hoping for) encouraged and in fact wanted that childish behavior.

And it is an embarrassment to any woman who can think for themselves.

My point was that I DO blame the crazy woman in the video. You said that she shouldn't be blamed because she has been fed such BS by the Clinton campaign, and I am saying I DO blame her, because she has a brain and should be using it. People who believe obvious BS spouted by politicians like Hillary and Bush ARE to blame for being so easily fooled when true information is not that ahrd to find.

90. OK, but I don't fault people who don't have an education
nor people who don't have internet and cable. They receive such a filtered view of the world, as we all did when there were only three TV networks.

Not a word today in the MSM, for example, of the Ickey rant. All the cleaned-up version and the least ranting soundbytes.

Meanwhile I get this crap a few moments ago:

Another big win! Today in Puerto Rico, the voters spoke with a powerful voice to say that this race is not over yet. And thanks to your support, we're celebrating another great victory.

When all the votes in Puerto Rico are counted, our popular vote lead will be even bigger. More than 17 million people have cast their ballots for our campaign, more votes than any candidate has received in the history of the Democratic Party. Now there can be no doubt: the people have spoken and you have chosen your candidate. We are winning the popular vote.

I think Hillary is nutty enough at this point to think she did win the nomination. Her supporters really do believe she has won some popular vote.

63. You're trashing baby boomers????? Shame on you - your parents were probably boomers!
:hi:

On February 1, 1960, four African American college students sat down at a lunch counter at Woolworth’s in Greensboro, North Carolina, and politely asked for service. Their request was refused. When asked to leave, they remained in their seats. Their passive resistance and peaceful sit-down demand helped ignite a youth-led movement to challenge racial inequality throughout the South.

I think by your reference to "those people" you meant Baby Boomers, which are my generation. But you also need to be aware that the term "those people" is a negatively-charged phrase which historically has been used to describe Blacks. FYI and future referencce some of us "baby boomers" took it to the streets in the 1960s as peaceful protesters, believing that ALL people are deserving of civil rights, including the right to be recognized and counted in this country. I went to HS and college in the 60s, and grew up learning the "white" verson of American history. I watched black people having to sit at the back of the bus, having to sit in the balcony at the movies, being barred from eating in restaurants, having water fountains and bathrooms marked "white only", being treated as nonhuman, listening to MLKJr's speeches--unrivaled in brilliance until Obama came on the scene, saying goodbye to friends never to be seen again who were DRAFTED into that Godforsaken, hellhole of a war in VietNam that no one supported, watching so-called 'patriotic American citizens' berrate and SPIT on the returning vets because they smoked pot while in Nam, watching the evil forces in this country kill JFK, his brother, then MLK; blowing up churches in Alabama, killing innocent children; watching integration where black students entering for the first time previously allwhite schools doing so under armed guard--for their own protection!; watching young people being murdered because they tried to register black voter--and that was in the timeframe of a few short years! Black people have suffered at the hands of white America since the time of slavery and I, for one, in my lifetime want to see an end to this racism! No, it's not as blatant now, but it still exists--black against white, white against black; black against black, white against white (ethnic self-hatred), and let's add to the fray the focus on illegal immigration (which includes the first white Europeans who set foot on American soil.) I think the 1960's represented a long overdue revolution which produced the necessary turning point in our country, and I think it's going to take another revolution now if we are going to see change in this country. Obama represents part of that revolution. Of course the status quo don't want Obama in the White House--for a whole host of reasons--with bigotry at the top of the list--and that transcends party lines.
Well, this is becoming entirely too long, so I shall stop. BTW, if it makes any difference, I recently learned that my long deceased grandfather was Cherokee (which thrills my activist heart to learn that I am descended from Native Americans!)and I am Caucasian--I guess.

Just looking at her reminds me of The Simpsons episode where Milhouse's Father gets involved with a Woman after his divorce. The voice is identical, Whiskey Tenor, Cigarette smoker til the day she dies.

That's probably why she's so upset, no smoking in the convention hall.

I think she doesn't give a god god damn about our country, only a personal power agenda. If McCain wins the elction, she will run again. If Barack wins, he'll probably serve two terms....
So her only chance for ther 2012 election is to get McCain in. After 4 morte years of republicvan monarchy, people will take anything with a D attached.

Over at the HillaryClinton.com blog, in the comments to the top post today, it sounds like a 'McCain for President' web site.

The onus is on old Hill now ... big time.

Will she become in effect a surrogate for McCain? Will she start 'tombstoning' her pro-McCain supporters on her web site?

We will soon see.

For that woman to stand there and say that this is being taken away from Hillary is just plain blind and dumb. Go ahead and vote for McCain, why should we care? She's not a true Democrat and is an utter disgrace. I sure hope ol' Hillary is pleased with herself. I, a white female who is voting for Obama, used to hold Hillary in high regards but never again. You hit it on the head - she's totally IRRATIONAL!

This convinces me that Hill is whipping up these women to a frenzy and they are being convinced, SOMEHOW, that it's better to vote rethug than Obama if (when) he wins. She's not trying to talk them out of that craziness because she REALLY DOES want McCain to win so she can run again in 4 years. Like anybody is gonna want to even see her face then?

49. I believe that a majority of these Hillary supporters are victims of Over Medication.
The trouble in America is that the healthcare system relies on drugs which really have not been tested all that well. There are so many interactions between different drugs that even Doctors are caught off guard. Many times, the interactions become so severe, that the individual becomes incapacitated, or is diagnosed with dementia or alzheimers and put into a home.

In some cases, they are so screwed up by the meds that they get diagnosed with renal failure and are put into Hospice, where they remove all med's except those to alleviate pain. It is at that point where they undergo horrifying withdrawls from the 30 or so medications they have been prescribed. If they survive the withdrawls, they usually recover and want to "Go Home" but at that point, their system is shot, the mind is awash in fog, and they spend many more months or years waiting to die.

I discovered this by reviewing the med's of my wifes mom after she died, along with medical records, which are surprisingly hard to get for family members now, thanks to HIPAA. You would think that after someone dies, Medical records would be available to immediate family. Unfortunately, this is not the case, and it appears to be made difficult to protect the Hospitals, and Physicians from liability from close scrutiny of the records. Furthermore, Insurance companies now use HIPAA as a means to withhold information from family members. Meanwhile, the Hospitals and HMO's can freely use there information internally to withhold treatment, market services and increase rates.

After viewing the Video, this poor woman would be better served if she signed up for medical marijuana and dumped all the rest of the Goofballs that are scrambling her brain.

I believe she will get her 15 minutes of fame from this.

I would like to see this person interviewed, because her thought process is so disturbed, it would be useful to be able to identify others with this affliction.

What, no funding?

Yet another a racist who plans to vote for McSame. Even if Hillary does the right thing and gets behind Obama, I'm not sure she's going to be able to get her supporters to vote Democratic.

53. Hillary Clinton and her husband have caused all of this.
They keep telling all their supporters that the election has been stolen from them and pouring on the poor me stuff. They have fooled a lot of people and that is why this woman is so upset. If only these people could analyze all the information themselves but they can't. The Clintons will sink the whole democrat party. This will go down in history as their legacy and people will never forgive them! Sad very sad.

57. Racial paranoia and egotism
Yeah, Obama's sole motivating factor of running for president was to keep down the white woman. That's what keeps him on a 2-year long campaign trail.

80. Her harping on the black issue and on how this is supposed to be HER America
Edited on Sun Jun-01-08 05:09 PM by tblue37
convinces me that her real complaint is that Obama is a black man, and that "they" (i.e., "uppity blacks") are taking what rightfully belongs to her and to those who look like her. I think that is the real issue for a lot of those Hillary supporters who rage against Obama in vague but virulent terms.

She reminded me a lot of Geraldine Ferraro.
