No, he did not. That really caught my attention. He probably thought it a bit tactless.

Obama better get used to it, because I think that's just part of Biden's personality. Actually, I think Biden is going to be really good for Obama. In watching him during the parade yesterday, Biden made him smile and laugh more than anyone else. I think among other things, Biden will be the one he turns to when he needs to kick back a bit, when things get tense, or when he starts to feel frustrated. They are a good team.
Biden reminds me of the person who sits next to you in a meeting, or church, or someplace where you are supposed to be on your best behavior, and they make you feel like acting up. Something about them brings out the devil in you, but you cherish their friendship and humor and the great way they make you feel. And they can make you laugh, even when things are getting you down.
Yeah, they're a good team. Biden is an quick-witted, mischievous, little devil at times, and I think Obama knew what he was getting into with him. If he's at all like me, it may have been just one of the many things he liked about him.

18. something went wrong in the planning of that whole thing |
|
Biden didn't know what he was supposed to be doing, oath wasn't available. I think Biden was embarrassed about being confused and cracked the joke (about himself being more confused that Roberts who at least knew what event he was doing, but also at Roberts for the flub).
I wish Biden hadn't said it but don't think it's a big deal.
