3. It's a good idea as far as it goes, but if the electricity comes from

a coal fired plant out in the boonies, the pollution is just displaced. Combine this with renewable energy sources and you've got a plan!

4. My husband is looking into this

Now we have a wind generator--cost less than $1000--that will recharge all the batteries. Something for most anyone to think about.

We got solar panels and the wind generator at the same time.

We have our Prius; I'm getting an overall 48 (all in-town driving - limited driving). I think about conversation, and this link will be helpful in my research.
