DCIA Michael Hayden: CIA Has Used "Waterboarding" |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-09-08 02:35 PM by L. Coyote
CIA director Michael Hayden has admitted publicly for the first time that the agency had used "waterboarding", or simulated drowning, in interrogations of three top Al Qaeda detainees nearly five years ago. ======= Related VIDEO link compilation: ***** View LIVE Webcast ***** HOUSE Oversight Hearing DoJ Mukasey ****** http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=2829051&mesg_id=2829051

2. He seems proud that they haven't tortured in 5 years! |
|
Well, it was illegal 5 years ago. And 5 years ago was 2003. What was dire emergency in '03, other than the * administration's collective ignorance because they ignored the Clinton's administations terrorists intel.
Does this putz get to double dip retirement pensions because he obviously didn't resign his commission. That is the most visually disturbing aspect of this clip - a uniform talking about torture.

3. Republicans support torture....could we be more divided now? |
|
I can't understand them. They seem brutes and neanderthals only interested in money and killing things.

4. Mr. Hayden is a SCARY MAN |
|
This man is such a load of crap. He's scary to me for 2 reasons.
#1 he has a nervous twitch in his right cheek / eyes that twitches roughly every other sentence. This is the body's way of saying it is not happy with the crap the mouth is spewing. This twitch comes from a combination of extreme stress and some level of spiritual cognitive dissonance, I'm sure. This twitch I commented on to CPSAN during Hayden's confirmation hearings. Here is a man who is NOT BEING TRUE TO HIMSELF, defending Torture as calmly as someone who really doesn't understand what it means to be tortured, and yet his body is trying to tell us the truth thru those twitches. I hope one day Mr. Hayden wakes up to realize he betrays the American public and is a traitor to his duties to keep us safe while upholding ages old agreements with the geneva convention on torture. It's black and white.. we did torture, whether 3 people or hundreds, we did break Geneva convention, we did do something illegal, it is a violation of our oath to defend the constition, Bush and Cheney and Hayden and the entire executive branch/pentagon crew are liable legally for that breach of trust, that breach of honor we committed globally to other countries that we would not commit torture.
#2 Hayden is a military man as head of the CIA. When the CIA was setup it was supposed to be a CIVILIAN office, not in any way accountable to the military or to the pentagon. In his nomination hearings, it's pretty clear that Hayden promised to keep strict separation of military branch and his role as CIA director and yet here's a man wearing his military uniform to the hearings. He lied to us at his confirmation hearings, and if you believe we only waterboarded 3 detainees, don't continue to believe it, he's lying to us now.
MR. Hayden, if you and your CIA goons are reading this post, I want you to go home tonite.
look in the mirror and ask yourself, what part of your american pride is excited to announce that you participate in a government that continues to advocate torture? What makes you feel torture is acceptable now? If not then why is guantanamo bay still open for business? What is the degree difference between the techniques of sleep deprivation or playing loud music versus waterboarding? merely one of scale.
VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE always and forever..
and you cannot commit the violence without also getting the mud / stench / and spiritual black cloud on your soul for participating in it.
FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR COUNTRY, mr. hayden, either step down as CIA chairman or stop this horrendous joke where you pretend you're reformed yourself and waterboarding was 5 years ago... we all know you are still torturing everyday in Guantanamo bay.
We all know you are my friend a FAKE and have betrayed your country beyond any lifetime of forgiveness will repair.
I will pray that find light and love and truth to turn your own life around before you can help this country turn it's life around on the subject of torture.
I pray for your soul my dear man.
