4. I have tears running down my face. |

Remember that all the TOP songs were anti-war, and promoting love?
We cared SO MUCH and tried SO HARD.
This is as relevant today as it was then.
So many people today - they just don't understand.

footage I've seen of him live - I was holding my breath. And the audience was mesmerized.
That's something you'll hold in your heart forever - I'm so happy you had the opportunity.

Thank you.
It was one of the Kool Jazz Festivals in Oakland, late 70's.
And Marvin wasn't even the headliner. That honor went to B.B. King!
That whole day was a total blast. Me and my buds were some of the only white folk there, and we were adopted throughout the day.
When Marvin was playing, young women were swooning and screaming as it it were a Beatles concert. But when B.B. came on, a whole 'nother generation of women went into their swooning and screaming.
It was, as you say, an experience I will hold onto forever!

8. Now, you've made me cry |

Thinking back to the 60's/70's, we WERE going to change the world. I look back on my young, naive self and I am so thankful I could not look into the future to see what has become of our world.
:hippie: <---- that one needs a tear.
