May 29, 2007 - In new court filings, special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald has finally resolved one of the most disputed issues at the core of the long-running CIA leak controversy: Valerie Plame Wilson, he asserts, was a “covert” CIA officer who repeatedly traveled overseas using a “cover identity” in order to disguise her relationship with the agency.

1. Don't every media outlet fall down rushing to correct your earlier assertions...
Disgusting, isn't it?

This was revealed yesterday. See also

The NY Times has a story where the headline reads "Covert Indeed," but in usual namby-pamby Times fashion, they don't really kick ass and name names.

We might hear about this just a little bit on the TeeVee when Scooter is finally sentenced, and that'll be the end of it. Another day in the life of this military-industrial dictatorship America's becoming.

4. Butbutbutbutbut, a WOMAN can't be James Bond!
She can only be Miss Pussy Galore*, sleeping with Bond to try to get secrets out of him during pillow talk!

That's what is at the root of denial from the right wing, the absolute knowledge that women are only window dressing and that their real place is with children, cooking and church.

*That's not a sexual slur, that's her real name from Goldfinger. Google it if you don't believe me. Ian Fleming was an overgrown adolescent.

8. Ian Fleming had a real flair for names
From the Bond books, we had Pussy Galore, Holly Goodhead, and Plenty O'Toole (named after her father...)

Even the main female character in Chitty Chitt Bang Bang was named Truly Scrumptious.

7. And the freepers respond by showing their ignorance as always.

"Doesn't change anything.
Her "name" was known from her own entry in a Who's Who publication. The fact she was employed at the CIA in Langley was known from the parking sticker on her vehicle.

There was nothing to leak.

Besides, there's no way to authenticate the information in this supposed filing.

More importantly, Wilson's SECOND wife, a French undercover agent, had her cover blown by the Wilson and Plame bleatings."
------------------------------------------------------------------
"This is shocking! Joe Wilson belongs in jail!!
How dare he knowingly involve a cover agent in ongoing public controversy by writing articles for the New York Times about evnts in which said agent is intrinsically involved!!!!!"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"My spouse has never written a highly controversial Op-Ed for the New York Times and has never been on a TV talking-head show.
I guess that means I'm deep, deep, deep cover!
---------------------------------------------------------------
"BS, if she was walking to and from her car in the parking lot of the CIA office in DC she’s not COVERT... period.

Anyone could see her entering and leaving the facility, there is no way you have “covert” if you are walking into and out of the building in front of the public every day."

9. The republican strategists don't care
They knew she was covert when they started spewing the lies in the first place knowing that the die hard followers will believe anything they're told.

10. Right.
If she wasn't covert, they wouldn't have needed to expose her identity.
