Just heard on NPR: Obama likens primary race to reality TV; |
|
Says it reminds him of Survivor, and he wonders if he's going to be voted off the Island.

2. He will not be the first |

voted off the Island. I think Biden is already swimming for shore. Obama will do well once he seriously hits the campaign trail. I do worry about any candidate being able to sustain the rigors of 20 months of campaigning.

3. I don't think he was suggesting that he will be voted off, he was just making |
|
a clever and funny analogy about the weird process.

5. Money doesn't necessarily equal primary votes |
|
(I say this as someone who will vote for whoever the Dem nominee turns out to be, even if I have to pinch my nose off, and I'm really not too enthused about either of them.)
They will both enter primary season (the real one, not the phony war going on now) with huge warchests, but we're way too far out to know whether either one of them will emerge strong next spring. Either or both might, but it's way too early to know, IMHO.

6. You might check out the polls and the money in Feb, 1991. Clinton was at 2% |
|
And, if Gore enters, he will be a major, instant force to be rekoned with.
Early front runners often don't finish first.
