CHICAGO - A mayor whose administration is under federal investigation. An alderman who just got hit with a federal bribery charge. Four politicians who served time for corruption and want their old jobs back.

All are candidates in this month’s municipal elections in Chicago, a city legendary for graft.

“At this juncture, people just shrug it off as more Chicago,” said longtime political consultant Don Rose.

Illinois Democrats.

Did MSRNC mention anything about the disarray among Illinois repukes? Is it noteworthy at all that Fitz sent a number of them to jail, and got former governor Ryan convicted?

I am not happy that there are crooked Democrats in Chicago. But let's be fair about who is crooked in this state.

2. I, thankfully, only lived there a year and was stunned at, not just the

quantity and pervasiveness of the corruption, but the sheer blatancy and acceptance of it. It simply must be seen to be believed. In my experience it is little better in Springfield, just unfuckingbelievable.:crazy:
