IQ on DU, half under 100?

3. The IQ is supposed to be set...

so that the average is 100. Meaning roughly half will be below, the other half above assuming even distribution.

That said, DU is considerably more intelligent than the average public.

That said, IQ is a horrible measure of intelligence.

However, DUers mostly write in full sentences, and are obviously interested in politics, so that definitely gives us an edge.

That said, probably the more articulate Freepers also score above average.

5. From the majority of what I read around here

I seriously doubt it! There is a disproportionate number of witty, articulate people posting here, who clearly possess IQs well over 100.

If you're using 100 as the 50th percentile IQ, I think population-wise 50th and above are here at DU, and 49th and below are regulars at Freeperville, hence the appropriateness of the term freeptard.

8. From time to time, there is a thread with many DUers

polling their level of education. Quite of few folks here have post grad degrees and post grad work. Perhaps the owners of DU have pretty good info on educational strata of members.
