5-Year-Old In Coma After Hit With Frozen Meat


ELMIRA, N.Y. -- A five-year-old girl from Elmira, New York, is in critical but stable condition after being hit in the head by a piece of frozen meat allegedly thrown by a man arguing with her mother.

Police have arrested 25-year-old Kenneth Groves on charges of assault and reckless endangerment.

They said he was angry because his dinner wasn't ready, opened the freezer and then began randomly throwing food items.

The girl's aunt told the Star-Gazette of Elmira that the child was standing in a different room when she was hit.
