Poll question: Which Dem is more likely to give corporations what they want?
Which of the following Dem candidates are most likely to maintain the status quo, continuing to place the agenda of corporate leaders above others when it comes to foreign trade, media reform, health care reform, etc.

4. Washington Co, originally
went to HS in suburban St Louis, graduated from college at SEMO (where Rush dropped out the year before I got there). Now living in Ohio. You can take the Dem out of the Ozarks, but you can't take the Ozark out of the Dem.

I used to work for Frisco RR, later BN. Spent a lot of time in Springfield.

5. Somewhat misleading
Clinton is so obviously a corporate shill that she provides more cover than deserved for Obama, who isn't all that different, I fear.

Check out their contributions at Open Secrets. I'm not simply launching unsubstantiated charges.

And I might add that I would love to be proven wrong. But the actual numbers are troubling.

6. I agree
I debated it, expecting the same thing. Both Clinton and Obama are heavily corporate candidates. I'm very concerned about either one when it comes to key issues the corporations will really fight - like trade and media reform.

10. I'd say all three of them...
they've all got to bow to the corporate world if they want to get anywhere in the race. Nothing new there.

11. Well, at least Edwards SAYS he isn't
For all I know, this could be the ultimate cynical gesture on his part. I sure hope not. But right now, at least, I believe him. Or at least I want to believe him.

12. It's the sad reality of politics...
too much money and too much corporate interest is what drives the system. All three know it and they've got to work in that system if they want to get anywhere...even Edwards.

I'm wanting someone who wants to break that system, but I don't expect it in my lifetime. Call me Ms. Cynic. :)
