Regardless of who wins the nom...if our candidate wins the GE...how long
will it take for DUers to post recall threads about them...
Post your guesses and include why you think they'll request a recall the poor new Dem president.

1. We were mostly happy with our 2006 victories for about two weeks
Eternal optimist that I am, I'm going out on a limb and saying it'll be well after Valentines Day 2009 before someone's calling for their head on a plate.

6. That we should have such problems!
I hope that's the type of grief we have in our future here at DU!

3. good one
My first thought was, "But you can't recall the President!"

My second thought was, "That won't keep a few DUers from saying we should."

4. If you elect a president because of their stance on issues
and they don't follow through, perhaps then you'd have a legitimate complaint. If you elect a president simply because he or she is not a republican, you don't have much you can hold them to.

5. We can avoid this if we demand they explain in specifics
their stands on positions we consider important. We in turn have
responsibilty to listen carefully expecially if they explain why
they cannot agree with us on an issue.

Permitting them to be blank canvases with general answers gives
them the power to play us

9. Day one.
Some DUers have already made it pretty clear that none of the Big Three are acceptable to them. I suspect that they'll chime in almost immediately after the election.
