into the sanctuary as we speak. The Steve Irwin is a chase and intervention vessel. You can read about Operation Migaloo here: http://www.seashepherd.org/migaloo/index.html

14. Incidentally, have you read Hayduke Lives? |
|
Paul Watson's mentioned in the last scene, swimming toward the ship. It's a great scene. I love Edward Abbey. I read The Monkeywrench Gang 5 times. Don't tell Agent Mike. :D

|
I haven't worked for Sea Shepherd for like 10 years. I was working on a confiscated converted Norwegian whaler.

20. You know, if you donate a thousand bucks |
|
or so, you can campaign with them. I wish I'd had it when I was working with them in NC. I worked in the galley of the Sea Shepherd III & then in Alaska. But I never got to go on a campaign. I would have liked to paint the baby seals with the nontoxic paint they used. :loveya:

Not great friends, but I'd dated her brother for 10 years. She was awesome.

23. The Japanese are on the ropes |
|
Had to abandon killing right whales, and more bad press than any year in recent memory.
I would hardly call this year a victory for the Japanese whalers -- and it will be worse if GP and SS catch up with them.
