I don't think anyone on the Julian calendar observes Eid or Kwanzaa in January. If anyone does, I'll reconsider.

5. Feliz Dia de los Tres Magos |
|
I don't know if this traditional day is celebrated that much any more in Mexico, but January 6 is the day of the three wise men, where children leave their shoes outside filled with hay for the camels and get small gifts in exchange. There was a similar tradition among the Germanic tribes of providing straw to Odin's flying horse around Yule and getting gifts in return. When the Catholic Church took over, it probably co-opted the tradition, changed it to the 3 Wise Men, and it spread to the New World.

6. I always leave my Christmas decorations (what few there are, lol) |
|
up until Jan 6 in observation of the "other" Christmas.
The holiday season runs from Thanksgiving thru Jan 6 for me. Decorations Dec 15 thru Jan 6. As opposed to Sep 30 thru Dec 26 for the media and retailers.
