1. DK is the ONLY candidate that will hold them accountable. |
|
and that's exactly why he's not "electable."

11. Punishment is like clorox |
|
If you don't use it, the mold grows back from the roots. This is not about vengance, it's about making a future president think thrice before pulling shit like this. It's about affirming that if the President does it, yes, it could be illegal, and affirming we are indeed a nation of law.
Remember, It takes a Clinton to sweep the Bush messes under the rug.

19. Thanks. Kucinich would have been just as valid an answer, but voted Gravel |
|
because he needs to be in the dialogue.

4. Good poll alyce, since I haven't completely |
|
decided who to support yet, I was pondering this question as part of my criteria for whom to get behind. Maybe someone should ask them all on the campaign trail? Or in a debate?

5. The way it looks now..... |

I think we will have to push the International Community to go after them on War Crimes. Very few of our leaders want to pursue the crimes against our Constitution.
To the Hague!

one would think Hillary would like nothing more, but Bill let Reagan/poppy slide, so I'm sure Hill will want to "move on" from the psycho-in-chief too. I could think of no better way for Bill and Hill to get even with the repuke party for all the CRAP they put them through, but it'll never happen.

just like he's the only one who will get us out of Iraq ASAP, provide non-profit health care, etc. etc. Why he polls so low is beyond me. Do Americans really WANT to stay in Iraq forever? Do they ENJOY getting screwed by insurance companies? Some days I feel like I don't belong on this planet any more.

18. I don't think they will be held accountable |
|
and I know that wasn't the question
Still, it is unlikely, and I'm aware of how unfortunate that is, that the person eventually seated as President will choose to seek justice.
I'm mightily uncomfortable with the equating of justice with vengeance. I do know many Americans think that way and it is alarming - and such thinking has aided in the corruption of our justice system.
I'm aware that some people actually do think "getting even" (vengeance) is justice and that others would intentionally mislabel justice as vengeance in an attempt to advance a talking point.
Some people seek actual justice.
I won't have any sympathy for my country or her people for the future troubles that will come from not holding a criminal president accountable.
When the criminals of this administration go off to the private sector,as some already have, and while there they engage in policy shaping and lobbying that will directly affect the lives of Americans, to bide their time until a return to government, don't come crying/whining/complaining to me. Just call war crimes and egregious abuses of power a normal/acceptable/expected fluctuation of politics, then sleep well at night knowing you're just so savvy.
