Regarding the Kerry endorsement of Obama/percieved "slight" of Edwards |
|
Presidential nominees don't choose their best friend as their running mate. They choose typically out of political expedience.
Kennedy hated LBJ and visa versa, but they were on the ticket. Even by the end of the Clinton administration, the relationship between Clinton and Gore was somewhat strained.
There was no betrayal. Kerry simply liked Obama best, perhaps because they are current collegues in the Senate (while Edwards has been out of the Senate for 3 years now). Trust me, there's no story here.

And, Ronald Reagan did not like GHWB. I believe it is a "custom" to pick a running mate to "balance" the ticket.

2. Notice Gore hasn't endorsed Hillary just because she was first lady in their administration |
|
I can't believe people read so much into this. And honestly, I don't think most endorsements matter unless someone is a very strong supporter of the person doing the endorsing.
