* says world must take action against Iran "before it is too late."
ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, Jan 13 -- President Bush accused Iran Sunday of undermining peace in Lebanon, funding terrorist groups, trying to intimidate its neighbors and refusing to be open about its nuclear program and ambitions.

In a speech described by the White House as the centerpiece of his eight-day trip to the Middle East, Bush tried to speak directly to the people of Iran as he urged nations to help the United States "confront this danger before it is too late."

"You have a right to live under a government that listens to your wishes, respects your talents and allows you to build better lives for your families," Bush said to Iranians. "Unfortunately, your government denies you these opportunities, and threatens the peace and stability of your neighbors. So we call on the regime in Tehran to heed your will, and to make itself accountable to you."

Bush is trying to persuade Arab countries to join U.S. efforts to pressure Iran, though many have displayed ambivalence about the administration's campaign amid a new U.S. intelligence report that concluded Iran stopped a nuclear weapons program in 2003.

5. He said this about ANOTHER GOVERNMENT?
"You have a right to live under a government that listens to your wishes, respects your talents and allows you to build better lives for your families. Unfortunately, your government denies you these opportunities, and threatens the peace and stability of your neighbors."

Projection the folks at Panavision would envy.

6.  In the second to the last paragraph bush is describing
what he's done to the USA . I too feel he will start another war before he leaves office . He seems to be trying to sell his war to the ME since he has so far failed to sell it here . He keeps trying to ignite something that's for sure .

8. they could have the bomb and the world would not help us at this point.
especially the world of islam. This is just the groundwork for acting unilaterally. With all of the primary talk who is watching them? Most of the scrutiny is gone. We should worry less about hillary crying and more about bush causing WWIII with his gang of Traitors.

11. goddammit- there goes another perfectly good irony meter...
if any country is a threat to world peace and safety, and NEEDS to be confronted and stopped by the rest of the world- it's the u.s., at least since raygun, and especially since lil' boots.

13. He's meeting with Israel, and strange things start happening.
"I am coming to you" supposedly being beamed at our military and a near miss of an 'incident' with Iran. Now, this ridiculous issuance. AIPAC is alive and kicking for another war.

Whatever Iran's problems are, Bush isn't the person to make them better. Just leave already, preferably in leg irons, but at this point-just get out.

19. The Iranian's are buying out all the flowers for the grand reception.
And, practicing "God Bless America" to be sung to the victorious liberators.

Just like in Iraq.

Or, Vietnam.
