Oprah and Discovery Channel Teaming Up |
|
I just heard it announced on CNBC that Oprah Winfrey and Discovery Communications has teamed up to give Winfrey her own network. The network will be known as the Oprah Winfrey Network or OWN. OWN will be taking the place of the Discovery Health Network. The network is scheduled to launch sometime around 2009. http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/prnewswire/NETU08315012008-1.htm

1. I like Discovery channel the way it is |
|
I'm not looking forward to it being a promotional site for Oprah. This is one TV watcher who is tired of her.

with whomever owns it now..
We GOT cable so we could get the History Channel, Nat'l Geographic channel, The Learning Channel and Discovery channel..
Now most of them are "In Search Of Jesus 24-7", "How to flip houses & get wildly rich" or "Look at how awful the British are, at re-decorating", or " British Junk in the Attic, by the £ ", or "All-Hitler-All the Tine"
