What country do you think is at the forefront of stem cell research? |

I was watching a show on ETV last night about a doctor who works in that area, and how so many people are against it. I could imagine a country with less religious bigots in the populace might be further along with stem cell research.

because of the number of "approved" lines that were grandfathered into the system, plus the necessity of getting around disturbing the holy blastocyst destined for the trash can so the religious nuts won't get their panties in a wad.
However, the use of stem cells in treating various illnesses has progressed much farther offshore, especially in countries with socialized medical systems.
We do the research. They apply it and cure their citizens. We let our citizens die.
