At last night's debate someone in the audience was shouting . |

This happened within the first thirty minuets. All I could hear was the word race, I think. Did anyone else hear this?

3. Yeah, I wondered what that was about |
|
Something about "you're making this about race" or "this is all about race." Guess they ushered him out pretty quickly.

4. I think he said "these are all race based questions" |
|
And he was right. And they changed the subject after that.

6. He said exactly the right thing IMO |
|
IIRC, it was something like, "These are race-based questions coming from you two ! Will you stop all these race-based questions?"
If you saw the first 20 minutes or so of the debate, you know this guy was dead-on and it needed to be said. I was appalled at the questions, and when this guy spoke up, he spoke for me. Usually I don't appreciate protester/hecklers but usually they don't contribute to the events they interrupt. This guy said the most perceptive thing I heard all night.
And, the idiotic questions stopped immediately. Maybe he embarrassed a little dignity in Russert/Williams.

10. Strange that I've not heard one news person mention this today. |
|
Normally if you get a heckler (which I don't think he was) or disturbance the other news outlets show it.

The most prominent mention I saw was on Time's website.

The questions were appalling. They left no doubt who Brian Williams is working for.
