what do we really know about anything . We know what we are told and try to sort through lies and find some path to follow hoping it was the right one but it's all chance .

we have elections but we cannot read minds , we don't even really know what drives what or who is in control of the bigger picture .

We each have one vote that may or may not be counted and for many they find they are not registered for one reason or another .

we know there is a war machine and corporations control the media and the government , there are few who understand what the stock market is all about which seems like a game of chance to me , bets placed , win or lose .

There is an endless stream of talking heads each with their own perspective and none make much sense as these stories and opinions vanish the next day , only the bad news lingers on until the next story of horror takes their place .

For me , I'm just one tiny grain of sand out here wondering in my short time in this life .

1. Feeling that way puts things intio perspective.
We think we're important only because we tell ourselves we are.

We are, in fact, a minor species, living on what amounts to a speck of dust, circling a run-of-the-mill star among billions of other stars, circling an unremarkable galaxy among billions of other galaxies, in a universe that may be one of trillions of other universes.

What we do, think, believe, is of little, if any, consequence to the cosmos.

I, for one, find that a comforting thought.
