The media asserts its coverage is driven by polls. I assert the polls are driven by the media. |
|
I am sick and damn tired of the bullshit excuses by the media for their behavior!!!
SICK AND DAMN TIRED!!!
The media wants its "consumers" to believe the media is providing excellent service by polling and/or being guided by polls, as if the media is a provider of populist views rather than an aggressive influence upon public opinion. What a (excuse me) fucking load of lies.
The media is a profit-sucking disease imposing manufactured perceptions as if reality upon the American people!!!
And I am (excuse me) fucking sick SICK SICK and damned tired of the media pretending to be a tool of news and information when it is nothing other than a manufacturer of views friendly to corporacrats.
Thank you for tolerating my (excuse me) fucking rant!
I just wish we would take the greatest obstacle to truth, justice and democracy TO TASK. I swear, I'd rather MARCH ON MEDIA than march on washington this year.

1. I am so with you on this |

I've been a media activist and I swear to God we can do something about it but we have to have critical mass. Bottom line is the only thing they understand is Money, sponsors not exactly a boycott but the threat of boycott. Even with all the media activists online things and people are just too fragmented to be effective.

2. Note: media asserts DIVISIONS by race and gender and age and class. |
|

Those DIVISIONS do not HAVE TO BE POLLED.
The corporacrats embrace division, though, because it keeps EVERY ONE in his or her place.

3. Look. I believed the media was supposed to be my friend IF the government oppressed me. |
|
Now, neither my government or the media are my friends.
BOTH have betrayed me,...in order to either control or profit off me.
That's not how this nation was suppose to work.

4. I've been sick about this media situation |

for a long time. It's insidious. Not just the clear divisions you have outlined. A website Media Matters documents this stuff the best.

According to Randi, the media is pandering to who has the most money so they buy more advertising from them.
