4. When someone offers you a loan when you can't afford it
something is wrong. Congress has learned nothing from the subprime lending crisis.

This is a CLASSIC republican ploy to deal with social programs. If the middle and lower classes want to take on the responsibility of paying off this debt, the republicans are certainly willing to create a system that allows business to profit from it.

7. When someone tells you to just go ahead and sign it
especially some massive document you just know it will come back to bite you.

About the loans yeah that too.

5. this is a keep king george afloat for another 11 months
so the masses don't actually take to the streets with torches and pitchforks before then

scam

it's more borrowing money he won't have to pay back

a complete scam and one that will do zip, nada, nothing to stimulate the economy. $800 is not even one mortgage payment

the economy needs single-payer universal health care and tons of good jobs

8. half the total package is more giveaways to "business"
individuals and families will have to pay back the money next year (when a Democrat is in the White House).

nothing about the package actually stimulates the economy. It is crass handwaving.

10. You'd have to cut 100 billion dollars in gov't programs or borrow 100 billion to cover the rebates.
We're likely to borrow.

12. Borrowing 150 Billion on debt that nobody will back.
America will take the money, but it won't help and America knows it.

We all see it for what it is: a pathetic pander.

13. I think it's just an attempt to throw the scent off this suck-ass voo-doo economy!
As people are being forced to face reality, they become naturally concerned and behave in a more conservative manner. That's BAD for the big profiteers.

So, let's throw some pittance at people, another meager 'feel-good' moment. That way, those at the top of the apex can scuttle to cover their butts, quick.

Just MHO.

15. So in essence they are just printing $150 billion in cash?
If they're doing that, why not just print $10 trillion and pay the debt off!
