No more State of the Union for me--not until 2009
Every year I have dutifully listened to the chimp, because I'm a citizen and felt I should be informed. Even though the B.S. level has only gone higher and higher each year, I still listened. But lately I've found so much joy in not listening, looking at or thinking about our hooverian-chimp-in-chief that I'm going to continue my newly found peace tonight and pop in a DVD instead. I no longer enjoy getting angry at him; I'm all worn out.

Yeah I'll probably hear some of the post-speech prattle tomorrow, but that's not as hard to take.

3. Oh, c'mon! He lied 935 times to get us into Iraq...
He can pick up with Lie No. 936 tonight and try to break 1,000!

Don't you want to see him break 1,000?

4. You'll have to wait until 2010, most likely
as I just found out with hours of research.

By custom, in the modern era, the outgoing President still delivers the SOTU, in writing, not as a speech. The newly elected President does not give an official SOTU, though, like Bush did in 2001, he or she may ask to address a joint session of congress to outline his or her agenda for the first year in office.

about an item in WaPo where the author got it right, but it sounded quite wrong. I was one of the ones making an error in figuring out that they were actually being accurate.

5. My digestion can't handle it.
I can't stand looking at the freak. Since everything that comes from his mouth is a lie, why bother.

9. I don't think too many will be watching this one, everyone has their
mind on who the next person will be.

I don't want to see the Dems clapping at everything he says. Not saying I don't appreciate the symbolism of a united country but this president has gone too far over the line for me to think that this political theater still needs to take place.
