Rudy's problem was they didn't like the dog food
No one will say that. They give every excuse why he did so badly except the true one. The more people looked and listened to him the more people hate him.

My bet is the same thing would happen to another "popular" NYC mayor named Bloomberg should he decide to jump in. The rest of the country has no problem seeing what jug heads these guys really are.

2. Between Biden's little dilly and a couple of wife three media stories,
it really was pretty easy to sink his campaign. Other candidates have had to deal with much more.

3. Brokaw said as much on Tweety's show
He said if Ghouliani had campaigned harder in the earlier primaries, his numbers would have sunk even sooner.

5. I don't know - I'd like to think that was it.
Certainly Giuliani would have been the worst possible candidate when it comes to civil liberties. That said, I think you also have to note that he ran a very stupid campaign. He chose to forgo early states on the hope that everybody would play along; it didn't pay off.

7. He was campaigning in the early states
The more he campaigned the lower his numbers went.

I think I read he had over 150 campaign appearances in NH where Ron / Mo Paul beat him.

Where did you read that?

6. Amazingly, Rudy tanked despite full support from BFF Hannity.
Could the Slant's power be waning?

12. But in the end, he's a schlubby short guy with a nasal voice
and our elections are "beauty pageants".

13. That's about the ONLY similarity.
Also, Bloomberg is actually a democrat (though he ran as a republican, which he has renounced them).

14. That fact only adds to the unpopularity he would face..
People who opportunistically flip back & forth to gain an "edge" are not usually that popular.. Look at Lieberman :)

11. .. but what happens if we now get VP-candidate Ghouliani?
:scared: A Huckleberry/Ghouliani ticket would be a frightening spectre: "Jebus Terra Jebus Terra Jebus Terra" nonstop. :puke:
