I swear, if I see one more Anna Nicole or Britney story on outlets that call themselves NEWS stations, I will puke. I think they ought to change their identifications from "news" to "infotainment and current events" programming if they keep this lightweight crap up!!!!

It was Britney-Anna Nicole-the WEATHER (tornados); slew of stupid commercials; Britney-Anna Nicole-the WEATHER (snowstorms); slew of stupid commercials; a segment about a two legged dog that got lost in an airport and then found (the producers wanted her to sing that segment);and then back to Britney-Anna Nicole and of course, the weather.

It was pretty fucking horrible to watch. I actually switched to CNN, which does sllightly better than MSNBC at the weekend....

We were sitting around chatting, with the tube on, and it was a relation, in fact, who first pointed it out. We then kept track for a few cycles, and that was what came on, precisely in that order. No war, no White House, no political news whatsoever. Just InfoTainment crapola.

And that Contessa Brewer is the one who threatened the shit out of MSNBC when they put her on the morning shift to take abuse from IMUS. She walked off and said "I'm not putting up with THIS crap..." The result of her revolt was that the Imus tradition of belittling women was retired, so she did a good thing.

So, perhaps the weekends full of bullshit are her punishment for rocking the Imus boat?
