60 MINUTES segment on active duty soldiers opposed to war -Sun, 7 pm (Eastern)
I received this email today from my dear cousin:

'Hi all,

Please turn your TV on tomorrow night at 7PM for 60 minutes. (See Below)
They will (finally) broadcast a segment on active duty soldiers who are opposing the war. It's a piece that has languished in the can for months and was finally scheduled, due to viewer outrage. Please send this along to
everyone on your list. Then send a letter to audsvcs@cbs.com, to let them
know what you think. About anything...

Make noise...

Peace,

1. Bill O' Loofa is supposed to be on, too.
Saw a commercial where Mike Wallace tells Billo to stop pointing his finger in Mike's face, or something like that - "two tigers in a cage, on this Sunday's 60 Minutes!" or some shit like that.

DISSENSION IN THE RANKS - Over 1,000 active-duty and reserve members of the U.S. military are against the war in Iraq and have said so in an unusually public way - by petitioning Congress. Lara Logan reports. Peter Klein is the producer.

THE NAZI DECEPTION – To stanch the wartime rumors of the Holocaust, the Nazis created a model town in Czechoslovakia to show the world they were treating Jews well. Survivors returned to the town to recall their lives there and the children’s opera called "Brundibar" they performed that actually mocked their captors. Bob Simon reports. Michael Gavshon is the producer.

O'REILLY - Combative interviewers clash when Mike Wallace interviews the Fox News Channel's ferocious front man, Bill O'Reilly. John Hamlin is the producer.

10. IT is on Now.... They had to be off base and not in uniform ....
they cannot speak against their Commander in Chief or any of their officers. But they can speak to Congress under the 1995 act.

15. Website for Appeal to Redress.
at least something is on about the troops.
Is this the first of any network TV the shows active duty military speaking out against the war ?

It should reach those who don't watch, listen, or read anything alternative.

I'm glad they finally put it on. It really sticks out 60 minutes used a foreigner to do the interview..

the website Redress is at 1361 signatures. I wonder how many they will get tonight ?

http://www.appealforredress.org/ Here is the website if you didn't know about it.

17. Was it aired the same time as Oscars on purpose ???
I didn't think about it being on at the same time as the Oscars in Pacific time.

3100 soldier's death's later.. many suicide later.. many life changing injuries later..

many lies later.. mainstream news and shows.. still can do right by the troops.
