According to Eisner.
Edited due to my lousy spelling.

They've been working without writers for about a month. Colbert has been great - Stewart has been pretty good.

19. I tried, but couldn't do it. They've done so many shoutouts, |
|
tributes, and references to their writers that they sort of gave them a voice. I especially liked Colbert's comment at the end of one show "To my writers - I know what you're thinking - and I agree". Another night he had a sing-along with his writers pictures going across the screen through the whole thing. Jon has made it an issue too, and calls it "A Daily Show", because without his writers, it's not "The Daily Show". I don't think a single night has passed that they haven't done or said something about their writers.

It can't be completely over until the writers sign off on the deal -- both the west coast and east coast groups are meeting over the next couple of days for a "briefing..."

7. For my friends affected by this work stoppage, I'm glad |
|
but DAMN IT I was hoping this would reduce the bloated, obnoxious, shallow-thon known as the Oscars to a concise press conference.

for a vote.
So, how this ends up and how honest Eisner has been- or is tis a ploy to make business look reasonable while the workers are not???
Take it with a grain of salt--it's CNBC---pro-business flag ship of General Elect.

21. Yeah I will believe this strike is over when I hear it from the people who are striking. |

I am not going to take the words of the CEO at face value when we still haven't heard anything from the people who are actually on strike.
