The simple fact is that the Republicans do not want oversight.. |
|
For six years, they gave this White House a blank check and looked the other way as crimes were committed and questionable activities were carried on. Since the last election, they have not changed one iota. Bush tells them not to approve the 21-day extension of the Patriot Protection Act ,or whatever nonsensical name they have come up with, and like lemmings they march off the floor of the House. They are not competent to represent the people of this country in the House of Representatives. They are dangerous to our liberties. Obviously, they do not believe in oversight, ever....unless there is a Democrat in the White House.

2. Well, they do and they don't. |
|
they want oversight of anyone who isn't ultra rich - to the point that every word you type on the internet and every word you utter in public or private is recorded. They want your inner orafices inspected on a regular basis by the enforcers. They want you to have no right to protest any of this treatment.
On the flip side, they want a legal monopoly with no sort of regulations what so ever. They want no oversight on how they conduct business, treat employees, or consumers. They want no constraints on themselves or their money gathering apparatus.
"oversight" is only for the peons.

9. I notice how they've been going after major league sports of late.. |
|
I guess that's a soft target? It makes it look like they're "doing something" and it's also an issue that the media loves because it's sexy and controversial.

10. This falls in the category of monitoring your orafices. |
|
If Roger wants to shoot horse dung into his patootie, what's it to me? This is just part of the process of convincing us all they have some right to monitor what we do with our bodies.

This is exactly what I've been calling B*sh and his cabal for years - a political organized crime syndicate that rivals the Mafia.
